For Clothing and/or Accessory Designers of Second Life

For Clothing and/or Accessory Designers of Second Life

First of all, please forgive me if this notice is too long. I am very sorry about that, I tried my best to keep this notice as short and sweet as possible. Anyways, people have been asking me recently what I am going to be doing with the rest of the prims on my sim since I have so many prims leftover. LOL, to be honest, I really don't know but I want those prims to be used into my almost dead clothing store, A&M. Few nights ago, I came up with an idea, sort of inspired by the fashion-business model of real life retail stores such as H&M, Urban Outfitters, Forever 21, etc. I’m sure those of you who shopped in these notable and renowned stores in real life have seen some high end, indie, vintage and/or chic clothes designed by in collaboration with other guest/featured designers for example the high-end fashion designer brand Lanvin, collaborating with H&M. Hence, I want this collaboration idea incorporated in the A&M store. However this will be more than collaboration or a partnership, guest designers will be treated like family with love, lots and lots of love. If you are currently an apparel and/or accessory designer in Second Life reading this and are very much interested, please send in a notecard with your Name, Store/Brand Name, and LM to your Mainstore to the following A&M Fashion Advisor(s):

• Vo Pralou
• Harlee Oliveri
• Tsuruko Cliassi

Once the notecards are sent into my Fashion Advisor(s), they will go visit your store and examine your great talent. Since this collaboration idea is something new and like no other in Second Life, up to 5-10 designers will be chosen by my Fashion Advisors in the initial quarter of A&M to see how things go. If this idea becomes stable and successful, the guest designer pool for A&M will increase to 20 designers and so forth in the future. The selected designers for the first quarter will have the option to sell their current items that they sell at their mainstores in A&M. However, when a certain modern inspired collection is called in by our up-to-date and trendy Fashion Advisors every month or two (such as a Navajo Indian Collection, Faux Animal Print Collection, Neon Colors Collection, etc.), designers will be encouraged to participate. If a designer does not want to participate, that’s fine too but it would definitely no doubt increase sales for the designers if they participated for the themed collection. For designers who do participate for the themed collection, they will be required to sell those products exclusively at A&M to keep things seemingly professional and standard like those real life retail stores.

As for the branding aspect of this idea, designers who have been selected will definitely keep their current logos and be able to use it in A&M. However it will be formatted differently in a minor way for example, “[YOUR LOGO] ❤’s A&M” or “[YOUR LOGO] For A&M” (your choice)…and that’s about it.

As for the Promotional Ad-Work and Vendors, I really want to make it easier for the guest designers because I understand that designing most Vendors and Ads for products can be a real pain and very time consuming. So I will be (re)designing the Vendors and Promotional Ad-Work for all the products that will be sold in A&M. I also want the A&M store to have a standard and uniform look as well when selling the products. Each of the Vendors will have the formatted logo (ex. [YOUR LOGO] ❤’s A&M) imprinted or engraved somewhere visible on the vendor. The only thing the guest designers will have to do besides designing clothes and accessories, is setting up the pricing and the info/description for their vendors. Hopefully, this is something that will be simple to do.

BENEFITS FOR THE SELECTED DESIGNERS:
• Will be treated like family, and I am very serious about this.
• Have a private and a peaceful VIP building area like that of a sandbox except more heavenly for creating new items.
• Will have a private hangout area.
• All products sold by Nishant Zobovic will be given to the guest designers for free if they want.
• Will have the privilege to ask for fashion ideas from the A&M Fashion Advisors, if stumped. The A&M Fashion Advisors are very good and have a surplus of ideas of the latest fashion trends. (Trust me, you will be surprised)
• Selected designers will be closer to other selected designers who are participating and will have the opportunity to as each other for assistance in designing, ideas, etc.

Now you might be thinking, IS ALL THIS FOR FREE if chosen as a designer? Well I wish it was for free because I am very much for the fashion aspect of this project than the business side because I really want to have a different and revolutionary shopping atmosphere in Second Life. However, I need a stable marketing system that will seem professional to the public and something that does not look like I give out free space; I hope this can be understood. So it has been decided that every product sold by guest designers will have a 5%-10% commission, depending on how large the price is going to be (I am trying to keep the commission percentage as low as possible yet sensible because I am seriously for the fashion aspect as previously stated before).

Expected Requirements for Interested Guest Designers:
• Must have had a store in Second Life for more than 3-4 months. 1+ year(s) will be a plus!
• Experienced with making clothing and/or accessories (tops, bottoms, dresses, swimwear, eyewear, shoes, hats, jewelry, handbags and/or other clothing/accessories)

ALL NOTECARDS COMING FROM INTERESTED DESIGNERS WILL BE ACCEPTED BETWEEN MID/LATE MAY TO EARLY/MID JUNE!
